New Attacks on Ukrainian Cities: Dnipro, Kramatorsk, and Kharkiv Under Fire

On the evening of April 8, the Russian army launched an attack on Dnipro using strike drones. According to Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, and Mayor Borys Filatov, a fire broke out as a result of the attack.

15 Injured in Dnipro

Currently, there are reports of 15 injured individuals, ranging in age from 18 to 87. Eight people have been hospitalized, with one in serious condition and six in moderate condition.

The attack damaged five high-rise buildings, shattered at least 200 windows, and caused destruction in the private sector.

There have also been reports of fires in the city.

Mayor Filatov confirmed strikes on residential buildings, while Head of the Regional Administration Lysak provided updates on the victims' conditions.

“Shahed” Attack on Kramatorsk

On the night of April 9, Russian forces also attacked the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region with “Shahed” drones. A family with an 11-year-old child was among those affected.

This information was confirmed by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk regional military administration.

Preliminary reports indicate that an 11-year-old girl, her 34-year-old mother, and her 55-year-old grandmother sustained injuries.

Filashkin stated, “The city was under a massive attack by Russian drones...”

Emergency services, police, and authorities are working at the attack sites. The extent of the damage caused by the strikes is currently being assessed.

Nighttime Attack on Kharkiv

On the evening of April 8 and into the night of April 9, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine using “Shahed” strike drones. Approximately 20 strikes were recorded in Kharkiv.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU).

SESU also released photos of the aftermath of the attacks by Russian UAVs on Kharkiv.

According to emergency responders, strikes were recorded in the Kyiv, Industrial, and Osnovyansky districts of the city.

“Strikes hit civilian enterprises, warehouse and industrial buildings, as well as service stations. Six fire outbreaks occurred, covering a total area of over 1200 square meters,” the SESU report stated.
