In response to a brutal missile strike in Kryvyi Rih that resulted in the deaths of at least 20 people, Ukraine has initiated an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council and the OSCE Permanent Council.

This was announced by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, emphasizing that the meetings are scheduled for April 8.

The UN and OSCE meetings were initiated due to the attack on Kryvyi Rih.

According to the Foreign Minister, the primary goal of these meetings is to “draw attention to Russia's crimes”, support peaceful initiatives, and hold the guilty accountable.

Ukraine expects a “strong condemnation” and “active actions” from the international community.

“Russia must stop the terror against Ukrainian children and civilians, respond to the US proposal for a complete ceasefire, which Ukraine has accepted, and end the war”, – stressed Sybiha.

Details of the missile attack on Kryvyi Rih:

On April 4, Russia struck a residential area in Kryvyi Rih with the Iskander-M ballistic missile equipped with cluster munitions, killing 20 people, including nine children.

More than 70 individuals were injured.

The Russians targeted the center of the residential district, near a children's playground.

The Russian Ministry of Defense cynically commented on the attack on Kryvyi Rih.

They claimed that the Russians “struck a meeting point of commanders and Western instructors” in a restaurant. The Russian agency also asserted that “losses amounted to up to 85 military personnel and officers from foreign states, as well as 20 units of automotive equipment”.
