The war has claimed the life of Ukrainian climber, member of the Odesa climbing club, Taras Tsushko.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing.
Tsushko was recognized as one of the top climbers in our country, a member of the national team, and a multiple champion in various climbing disciplines.
Since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, he took a stand to defend his homeland.
"Taras was a kind, empathetic, and dependable friend to all climbers in Odesa. He dreamed of reviving Odesa's high-achievement climbing after the war ended. Our deepest sympathies go to the family of the fallen," the statement reads.
Farewell to Taras Tsushko will take place on April 6, with the service planned for 11:00 at the church near the Kryzhaniivka cemetery.
