In the night of January 20, Ukrainian air defense units successfully struck down 342 enemy targets. This included 14 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M/S-300 type, 13 cruise missiles of the X-101 type, and 315 enemy drones. This was reported by the command of the Ukrainian Air Forces on Telegram.
As of 10:00 AM, it was confirmed that air defense had downed 342 targets: 14 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M/S-300 type, 13 cruise missiles of the X-101 type, and 315 enemy drones including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types attacking from various directions across the country.
It is noted that 5 missiles and 24 strike drones hit 11 different locations, and debris from the downed drones fell in 12 areas. Information regarding two enemy missiles is still being confirmed.
The press service also clarified that the enemy used one anti-ship missile "Zircon" (launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea), 18 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M/S-300" (launched from Bryansk and Rostov regions of the Russian Federation), 15 cruise missiles of the X-101 type (launched from Vologda region of the Russian Federation), and 339 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types from various directions, including Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsk-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo, Bryansk – RF, as well as Hvardiyiske, Chauda – temporarily occupied Crimea, and temporarily occupied Donetsk, with about 250 of them being "Shaheds".
The main focus of the strike was on the Kyiv region, as clarified by the Air Forces.
