The Ukrainian air defense successfully destroyed 58 drones launched by Russian forces during the night from Sunday to Monday. Attacks were recorded at 12 different locations with enemy hits. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Forces on their Telegram channel.
According to military sources, from 19:00 on Sunday, December 21, the invaders launched 86 drones of various types, including Shahed and "Gerbera".
The launches were made from Russian cities such as Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from temporarily occupied areas in Donetsk and from Chauda in occupied Crimea.
More than half of the hostile targets were Shahed strike drones.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
As of 08:30 on Monday, preliminary data indicates that air defense shot down 58 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
At 12 locations, hits from 26 enemy strike UAVs were recorded, and in one place, falling debris from destroyed targets was noted.
In Odesa, as a result of Russian attacks, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged, and the city experienced power outages.
