As part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative launched by the President of Ukraine, three more children have been successfully brought back home.
These young Ukrainians, who returned to the controlled territory, are now heroes of a new story shared by Andriy Yermak on his Telegram channel.
A 17-year-old boy was evacuated earlier, but his 15-year-old brother and 12-year-old sister remained in occupation with their parents.
“Russian soldiers terrorized the family, interrogated the parents, and forced the children to attend a Russian school with propaganda. But now they are finally safe on Ukraine's controlled territory,” Yermak noted regarding the details of the children's situation in the occupied area.
The 16-year-old lad lived under constant surveillance by the occupying forces for nearly four years, who came to their home and threatened the family due to their refusal to attend a Russian school. Fortunately, our partners helped the boy escape, and today he is reunited with his family.
The head of the Office of the President expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian Network for Child Rights for their assistance in rescuing these children. We are fulfilling the president's task — to bring all Ukrainian children home.
Let us remind you that Volodymyr Zelensky stated: over 19,000 Ukrainian children have been abducted by Russians. The President emphasized that the return of these abducted children is a priority, and he spoke about international assistance in this direction. He mentioned that over 1,600 children have already returned home, but the search remains extremely challenging.
