Today, the repatriation efforts concluded. 1000 bodies have been returned to Ukraine, reportedly belonging to Ukrainian servicemen according to the Russian side. This was announced by the Coordination Headquarters.
In the coming days, all necessary examinations and identifications of the repatriated bodies will be conducted by investigators and experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The successful repatriation was achieved through the collaborative efforts of the Coordination Headquarters, the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and other security entities.
The Coordination Headquarters expressed gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their assistance.
Special thanks were given to the personnel of the Central Command of the Armed Forces General Staff for their role in transporting the repatriated bodies to designated facilities.
