On the night of November 14, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region. As a result of the strikes, one person has died, and there are several injured. This was reported by the city mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the regional administration Mykola Kalashnyk, along with the emergency services.
The attackers used drones and missiles targeting various areas of the city.
In particular, a 15-story apartment building was hit in the Podilskyi district, while in the Sviatoshynskyi district, a missile struck on the 7th floor. In the Obolon district, a nine-story building was hit, leading to fires in apartments from the 7th to the 9th floors.
In the Dniprovskiy district, drone debris hit a five-story building, causing two apartments to catch fire. In total, over 40 people were rescued by firefighters from the affected buildings.
Additionally, there are reports of damage to administrative buildings, a fire at a school, and wooden houses at a sports base catching fire. Damaged heating networks have left some buildings in the Desnyansky district without heating.
Preliminarily, the death toll in the capital has risen to three, though this information is being verified as rescuers have not yet been able to retrieve the bodies.
The number of injured has also increased, with 26 people affected, including two children aged 7 and 10. Nine individuals, including a pregnant woman, have been hospitalized.
Furthermore, Russian forces launched significant strikes on the Kyiv region, targeting critical infrastructure.
Six people were injured. In Bila Tserkva, a 55-year-old man suffered thermal burns. In other parts of the region, a 40-year-old man sustained multiple shoulder injuries, a 47-year-old man had a cut on his forearm, a seven-year-old child had facial injuries, and a 56-year-old man suffered a contusion to the forehead. A 56-year-old woman had a laceration on her arm.
Private homes caught fire in Bucha, Vyshhorod, and Fastiv districts, while in the Bila Tserkva district, warehouse premises were affected, and a car caught fire in the Obukhiv district.
