In the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly in the Alexander and Huliaipole directions, the enemy has intensified its assault actions and artillery shelling. To ensure the safety of personnel, the Defense Forces had to withdraw from positions near five settlements. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Defense Forces on social media.
“In Zaporizhzhia, particularly in the Alexander and Huliaipole directions, fierce battles have been ongoing for several days. The enemy is using all available weaponry to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine from their held positions. Over the past few days, there have been nearly a hundred combat engagements recorded here. Due to the intensification of enemy assault actions, numerous infiltration attempts, and the escalation of heavy fire on our positions (over 400 artillery shellings daily using around 2000 munitions) and the effective destruction of all shelters and fortifications, the Defense Forces had to retreat from positions near the settlements of Novouspenivske, Nova, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka,” the statement said.
It is noted that the enemy is trying to establish its foothold in these settlements, but Ukrainian defenders are fiercely countering these attempts. Fierce battles continue near Yablukove, Rivnopillya, and Solodke.
According to the press service, the adversary from the eastern direction is seeking to encircle Huliaipole and cut off logistical routes leading from Pokrovsk. Fighting continues.
“Every inch of our land is fiercely battled over by assault and other units,” emphasized the Southern Defense Forces.
On the front line yesterday, November 10, 170 combat engagements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Russian invaders were recorded.
