Ukrainian Air Defense's Night Operation: October 30th Events

On the night of October 30th, Ukrainian air defense successfully neutralized a significant number of drones and missiles, protecting critical infrastructure.

During the night of October 30th, Ukrainian air defense forces effectively neutralized 623 drones and missiles out of 705 launched by Russia since the evening of October 29th. There were 16 confirmed hits on missiles and 63 drones across 20 different locations. This was reported by the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Facebook page.
“The enemy launched a combined attack on critical infrastructure in Ukraine, utilizing strike drones and missiles from various platforms. Throughout this night, 705 enemy air attack systems were detected and tracked – 52 missiles (including 9 ballistic) and 653 drones of various types, with about 400 being 'Shaheds'”, the report stated.

Specifically, the enemy used:

  • 653 strike drones of the Shahed type, 'Gerbera' (other types of drones) from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsk-Akhtarsk – RF, Chayuda – TOT AR Crimea);
  • 4 aerial ballistic missiles X-47M2 'Kinzhal' (from Nizhny Novgorod region – RF);
  • 5 ballistic missiles Iskander-M/KN-23 (from Rostov region – RF);
  • 8 cruise missiles 'Kalibr';
  • 2 cruise missiles Iskander-K (from Kursk, Voronezh region – RF);
  • 30 cruise missiles X-101 (from Saratov region - RF);
  • 2 guided aviation missiles X-59/69 (from the Black Sea region);
  • one guided aviation missile X-31P (from the Black Sea region).

Air attacks were repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 11:30 AM, preliminary data shows that air defense has shot down or suppressed 623 aerial targets:

  • 592 strike drones of the Shahed type, 'Gerbera' (other types of drones);
  • 7 cruise missiles 'Kalibr';
  • 1 cruise missile Iskander-K;
  • 21 cruise missiles X-101;
  • 2 guided aviation missiles X-59/69.

Currently, there are confirmed direct hits on 16 missiles and 63 drones across 20 locations, with debris falling in 19 locations in various regions of Ukraine. Additionally, three enemy missiles (as of 11:30 AM) have been spatially lost, and information regarding their landing sites and consequences is being clarified.
