The air defense forces of Ukraine successfully neutralized 38 out of 60 Russian drones. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
On Sunday, October 19, at 19:00, Russian forces launched an attack with three ballistic missiles "Iskander-M/KN-23" from temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as 60 strike UAVs, including Shahed, "Herbera," and other types from the directions of: Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), Chauda (Crimea). About 40 of them are Shahed drones.
The air defense operation involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:00 on Monday, October 20, the air defense had shot down 38 UAVs in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Three ballistic missiles and 20 strike UAVs were confirmed to have hit 12 locations. The attack is ongoing, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace.
