Neutralization of Enemy Drones: Latest Updates

Operational information on the neutralization of enemy drones by Ukraine's air defense forces.

On October 17, the air defense forces successfully neutralized 35 enemy drones out of 70 that attacked the Ukrainian airspace starting from the evening of October 16. This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Facebook page.
According to the information, during the night of October 17 (from 20:00 on October 16), the enemy launched an attack using 70 strike drones of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other models from directions including: Millierovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, and Chauda – temporarily occupied Crimea. Approximately half of them were Shahed drones.
The attack was repelled by the aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:00 on October 17, it was reported that air defense had shot down or neutralized 35 drones of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other types in the northern and eastern regions of the country.
Preliminary data indicates 31 strikes on 10 locations were recorded, along with debris from downed drones on 2 locations. The Air Forces warned that the attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in the airspace.
