Last night, Ukraine faced another combined attack from Russia – over 50 missiles and around 500 strike drones. The assault included cruise missiles, “Shaheds,” and specifically “Dagger” missiles. The regions of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Kirovohrad were targeted.
As of now, approximately 10 individuals have been reported injured due to the attack. Unfortunately, five people have lost their lives. Our heartfelt condolences go out to everyone who lost loved ones due to this terror.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in his address.
According to him, rescue and recovery operations are ongoing in the affected areas. The head of state continuously receives updates from Interior Minister Igor Klymenko, Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba, regional military administration leaders, and the head of Naftogaz, Serhiy Koretsky.
“I expect the government to work as quickly and effectively as possible to address the aftermath in the affected regions,” Zelensky emphasized.
The president highlighted that today, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian infrastructure, everything that supports normal life for people.
“There needs to be more protection, and faster implementation of all defense agreements, especially regarding air defense, to diminish the sense of this aerial terror. A unilateral ceasefire in the sky is possible, and it could pave the way for true diplomacy. America and Europe must take action to compel Putin to stop,” Volodymyr Zelensky stressed.
