The air defense forces of Ukraine have successfully neutralized 126 out of 152 Russian drones. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
On the evening of September 23, the Russian military launched an attack involving 152 strike UAVs, including Shahed, "Gerbera," and other types of drones, from directions including Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and from Hvardeyske (temporarily occupied Crimea). Approximately 80 of these were Shahed-type drones.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:00 on Wednesday, September 24, the air defense had shot down 126 UAVs in the north, south, east, and center of the country.
There were 26 strike UAVs recorded hitting 7 locations, as well as debris falling at 2 locations. The Russian army targeted 18 UAVs at energy infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv, leading to power supply disruptions and issues with ground electric transport in two districts.
