On the night of September 22-23, the enemy launched an assault using three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 115 strike drones, including Shahed and Gerbera drones, originating from various directions: Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, and Hvardiyiske - temporarily occupied Crimea. Approximately 60 of these drones were Shaheds. The Ukrainian Air Forces reported this on their Telegram channel.
The country's defense was carried out by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups from the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Preliminary information as of 09:00 indicates that the air defense successfully shot down or suppressed 103 enemy drones of various types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Strikes from missiles and 12 attack drones were recorded at six locations, along with debris from downed drones at eight sites.
