Civil Infrastructure Attacked in Zaporizhzhia: Casualties Rise

At approximately 5:30 AM on September 22, Russian forces launched strikes on civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, resulting in damaged vehicles and multiple fires; three people lost their lives, and four were injured.

This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, and the State Emergency Service (SES) on Telegram.

"The Russians targeted the city with at least five aerial bombs. They attacked civilian and industrial sites," - emphasized Ivan Fedorov.

According to Fedorov, a significant number of vehicles were destroyed or damaged due to the attack. Fires are currently raging.

Update: At 6:00 AM, Fedorov reported that a woman had died due to the Russian shelling.

By 6:40 AM, the head of the regional administration announced that the number of fatalities had risen to two.

"Two people have died, and two others have been injured. One of the injured is in critical condition. Medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance," - stated Fedorov.

During a news marathon broadcast, he mentioned that four individuals were injured, one of them seriously.

The SES added that there may be a person under the rubble of a collapsed private house.

At 8:00 AM, the SES reported that they had retrieved a deceased woman from the rubble of a private home in Zaporizhzhia, thus raising the death toll of this Russian strike to three.

"A separate impact caused a fire in a parking lot: a two-story building and five cars were engulfed in flames over an area of 100 square meters. Rescuers, medics, psychologists, and bomb disposal experts are working at the strike sites," - the service added.
