The air defense forces neutralized 137 out of 164 drones used by Russian forces to attack Ukraine on the evening of September 12.

Starting at 8:00 PM on September 12, Russian forces launched an attack using the "Iskander-M/KN-23" ballistic missile and 164 strike drones, including Shahed, "Gerbera", and other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Approximately 90 of these were Shahed-type drones. The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
As of 9:00 AM on September 13, preliminary data indicates that air defense shot down 137 Shahed-type drones, "Gerbera", and other types across the northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.
There were recorded missile strikes and 27 attack drones at 9 locations, with debris from downed targets falling at three locations.
