Kostyantynivka is under fire again: Russian troops have targeted the city, resulting in injuries to a civilian and significant damage to the gas distribution station and other infrastructure.

This was reported by Serhiy Horbunov, head of the Kostyantynivka City Military Administration, in his social media post.

«As a result of the shelling, the gas distribution station owned by LLC «Gas Transportation Systems of Ukraine» has been severely damaged. Unfortunately, we were unable to maintain the working pressure in the gas system, which led to the cessation of gas supply to the consumers of Kostyantynivka», Horbunov stated.

He had previously reported the injury of a civilian and damage to residential buildings due to the use of FPV drones and aerial bombs by Russian forces.

«From the morning of August 22, Russian forces began a new assault on Kostyantynivka. The city was bombarded for several hours, resulting in significant destruction… One civilian was injured», he added.

Horbunov also noted damage to numerous private and apartment buildings, shops, and the Ukrposhta building.

Currently, restoring gas supply in Kostyantynivka is impossible.

«Given the challenging security situation and the lack of safety guarantees for workers, restoration work on gas supply cannot be carried out at this time», Horbunov emphasized.

The head of the administration urged residents to take care of their safety and evacuate.

It is worth noting that on August 21, the Russian army injured two residents of the Donetsk region.
