In the night from August 9 to 10, a significant attack was initiated by Russia against Ukraine, utilizing 100 drones, out of which 70 were intercepted by air defense systems.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

According to information, Russian forces launched drones of various types, including strike UAVs, from Russian territory (Shatalovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk) and from the occupied Crimea (Hvardiyiske).

The Ukrainian Air Force engaged aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, as well as mobile fire groups and drone systems to repel the attack.

As of 08:00, the destruction or suppression of 70 drones in the northern and eastern regions of the country was confirmed.

At the same time, 30 drones hit 12 populated areas in the border regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv. Debris from the downed drones also fell in three other locations.
