«As a result of the morning shelling of Kherson by Russian military forces, a 69-year-old man was injured. He sought medical assistance,» the report states.
The victim was diagnosed with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the leg and head.
An examination of the injured individual is currently underway.
Later, it was reported about a 21-year-old woman who was also injured. She was diagnosed with blast trauma and a shrapnel wound to her right leg. Doctors are continuing their assessment.
According to the information from the head of the regional administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, this morning, Russian troops shelled Kherson using artillery and rocket systems. This led to damage to homes in the Shipbuilding district. Notably, a residence of an elderly woman was severely damaged, yet she miraculously escaped harm. The central market of the city was also hit, damaging various stalls.
In the evening of August 2, the Russian army dropped two guided bombs on Kherson, resulting in damage to a road bridge leading to the Shipbuilders' neighborhood and destruction of three private houses and a high-rise building.
