The Ukrainian air defense forces have effectively neutralized 44 enemy drones, with confirmed hits on 28 of them.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Forces via Telegram.

From 9:30 PM on Thursday, July 31, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine with 72 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various mimic drones from the directions of: Millerovo, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 AM on Friday, August 1, the air defense system shot down/neutralized 44 enemy UAVs in the northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.

There were confirmed hits of 28 UAVs in 9 locations. Frontline areas of the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as Kyiv region, were targeted.
