A missile strike in Cherkasy has resulted in injuries to one child and six adults.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

Rescue teams along with bomb disposal experts are operating at multiple locations. They have already extinguished a fire that spread over an area of 200 square meters, as well as a fire in a cargo truck.

Windows and roofs of nine two-story apartment buildings have been damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that at least 15 high-rise buildings and a local cemetery have also been affected.

Assessment of the areas is ongoing.
