Odessa has come under attack from Russia. One person has been killed.

This information was reported by the State Emergency Service.

The attack caused a fire that spread from the 6th to the 9th floors of a nine-story residential building. Firefighters, along with volunteers, successfully extinguished the blaze.

Five individuals were rescued from the burning apartments; unfortunately, one rescued woman lost her life.

Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police were on-site to assist.

Pets were evacuated from the damaged apartments.

A total of 58 firefighters and 16 fire vehicles were engaged in the response.
