Ukraine has managed to return an additional thousand bodies of fallen soldiers that were held by Russia.

"According to the Russian side, these bodies belong to citizens of Ukraine, including servicemen…

Law enforcement officials, along with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will conduct all necessary examinations and identification of the repatriated bodies," stated the Coordination Headquarters for POW Affairs.

The Coordination Headquarters clarified to "Ukrainian Truth" that this repatriation action is a planned operation and is not part of any agreements made in Istanbul.
