On the morning of Thursday, July 17, Russian troops carried out a massive drone strike in the Shostka district of the Sumy region.

This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Hryhorov, via Telegram.

"After 7:00 AM, the enemy struck heavily at Shostka. Enemy drones hit several community areas," Hryhorov wrote.

He noted that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

As a result of the attacks, residential buildings were damaged, and fires broke out. Emergency services have already begun addressing the consequences of the attack.

The extent of the destruction is still being assessed, added the head of the regional administration.
