Starting at 8:00 PM on July 15, Russian troops launched a strike on Ukraine using the "Iskander-M" ballistic missile from Crimea, as well as 400 Shahed-type drones and various imitators from directions including Shatalovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda (Crimea), with around 255 being Shahed drones.
The main targets of the strikes were Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, and Vinnytsia.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 8:30 AM on July 16, air defense had shot down 198 drones across the north, south, east, and center of the country.
Additionally, 145 imitator drones were locally lost or suppressed by electronic warfare.
There were recorded impacts of missiles and 57 drones at 12 locations, with debris falling in two separate areas.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces struck Kryvyi Rih with a ballistic missile and 28 drones, injuring a 17-year-old boy, damaging an industrial facility, and leaving part of the city without electricity.
In Vinnytsia, after a nighttime drone attack, eight people were taken to the hospital.
