Attack on Sumy: New Casualties from Drone Strikes

Update on the drone strike in Sumy that resulted in injuries and property damage.

On July 14, Russian occupying forces launched drone attacks on Sumy using "Shahed" drones. The strikes targeted educational and medical facilities, leading to injuries among civilians.

This was reported by Sumy's mayor, Oleksandr Lysenko, on Telegram, along with officials from the regional prosecutor's office. The situation remains critical.

Direct quote: "Sumy is under attack again! Stay safe as new strikes may occur!"

Local journalists reported that one of the strikes hit an educational institution in Sumy, resulting in injuries.

The head of the region confirmed that an enemy drone attacked one of the educational facilities in the Sumy community.

As a result of the attack, there were injuries (according to the prosecutor's office, six people were injured). Buildings were also damaged.

Emergency services are on-site assessing the damage.

Update: At 12:30 PM, the regional administration reported a second drone strike on the Sumy community. Thankfully, there were no casualties in this instance.

Initially, the first strike injured six people: three women and three men.

All injured individuals are receiving medical assistance.

At 1:27 PM, the mayor announced that a third drone attack had targeted the Sumy community, resulting in a fire.

This time, the Russians hit a medical facility, injuring one person, as stated by the mayor.

The extent of the damage is still being assessed. Prior to this, the enemy had attacked the educational institution twice.
