Over the past week, Russian forces launched numerous strikes against Ukraine, employing more than 1,800 drones, 1,200 aerial bombs, and 83 missiles of various types.

This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

"This week witnessed massive attacks from Russia: over 1800 drones, more than 1200 guided bombs, and 83 different missiles. The enemy is intensifying terror against Ukrainian cities in an attempt to instill fear in our citizens," the head of state emphasized.

Zelensky stressed that despite Moscow's plans, the air defense forces are showing good results.

"Interceptor drones are proving especially effective – already hundreds of Russian-Iranian 'Shaheds' have been shot down this week," he added.

The President noted that every meeting with international partners this week focused on scaling up these technologies.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to everyone willing to invest in the protection of life and to the soldiers safeguarding Ukrainian airspace.

The head of state underscored: "Shaheds" are one of Russia's methods of prolonging the war. We must neutralize this threat to expedite the diplomatic process."

He expressed hope for the fulfillment of all agreements that will strengthen Ukraine's defense, as well as for decisive actions from the USA, Europe, the G7 countries, and all partners.

As reported, on the night of July 12, cities across Ukraine were under Russian attack. The invaders launched 26 cruise missiles and 597 drones.
