Situation in Sumy Region: New Shelling and Casualties

During the past day, Russian forces have conducted nearly 70 strikes on 27 localities across 13 communities in the Sumy region.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this via Telegram, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

"In the Sumy community (Velykochernychchynskyi starostat), two civilians (born in 1960) died due to a KAB attack. In the Shostka community, 3 people were injured from drone strikes," the statement reads.

The highest number of shelling incidents was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts. The enemy actively employed guided aerial bombs, conducting over 10 drops of VOGs from UAVs; almost 30 KAB strikes were noted.

Additionally, the enemy executed strikes with FPV drones and UAVs targeting the Sumy region. Civil infrastructure was damaged and destroyed. Specifically, in the Sumy community (Velykochernychchynskyi starostat), 2 residential buildings were destroyed, and 10 more were damaged. In the Krasnopillia community, a residential building was damaged. In the Shostka community, non-residential premises were affected.

Throughout the day, air raid alerts lasted for 8 hours and 45 minutes in the region.

As reported by Ukrinform, from the morning of July 11 to the morning of July 12, Russian troops conducted over 60 shelling incidents in 35 localities across 13 communities in the region, resulting in injuries to four individuals.
