On July 13, a day of mourning was declared in Chernivtsi for the victims of the Russian shelling.

The mayor of Chernivtsi, Roman Klychuk, announced this via Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

The city convened an emergency response meeting to address the aftermath of the incident.

"July 13 has been declared a day of mourning in Chernivtsi. All public events have been canceled," the statement reads.

A special commission has been established to assess the damages and inspect the affected areas. Displaced residents are offered temporary accommodation in dormitories. Additionally, food, water, hygiene products, and medical and psychological assistance will be provided. All relevant city services are operating at full capacity.

The Russian attack on Bukovina involved four Shahed drones and one missile, resulting in the deaths of a 26-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man in Chernivtsi due to falling debris.
