On the night of July 9, the Russian Federation launched a significant air assault involving 741 aerial vehicles. However, the air defense system neutralized 718 of them. The Air Forces recorded hits in four locations and also noted the fall of downed aircraft in 14 areas.

Details: From 8:00 PM on July 8, the enemy employed:

• 728 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitators from directions including Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Oryol, and Millerovo - RF;
• 7 cruise missiles of type X-101 and "Iskander-K" from the Engels region of the Saratov region and the Kursk region;
• 6 aeroballistic missiles of type X-47M2 "Kinzhal" from the airspace of Lipetsk region.
• The primary target of the strike was the city of Lutsk in the Volyn region.

As of 8:00 AM, preliminary data shows that the air defense system neutralized 718 enemy aerial assault means, with 303 being shot down by fire systems and 415 lost locationally:

• 296 enemy drones of the Shahed type (and other types) shot down by fire systems, 415 - locationally lost/suppressed by electronic warfare;
• 7 cruise missiles of type X-101/"Iskander-K" - shot down.

Hits by enemy aerial assault means were recorded in 4 locations, with the fall of downed aircraft noted in 14 locations.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
