The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine has released data on a war criminal involved in the Russian attack on the children’s hospital “Okhmatdyt”.

Today, on the anniversary of the missile strike on the National Children's Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt” in Kyiv, Ukrainian military intelligence reports on one of the individuals responsible for this war crime.

Major Denis Sheynov of the Russian armed forces is the head of the special engineering service of the 121st heavy bomber aviation regiment of the 22nd heavy bomber aviation division.

This unit was directly involved in the terrorist attack on the medical facility, where 627 children were being treated at the time of the strike.

As the head of the special engineering service, Major Sheynov was responsible for organizing the technical preparation of air-launched cruise missiles X-101 for use by strategic aviation aircraft.

War criminal Denis Sheynov was born on January 30, 1978, in Saratov. Passport: series 6302 No. 906672, issued on March 15, 2002, by the internal affairs department of the Kirov district of Saratov.

He graduated from the Saratov Higher Military Engineering Command School of Missile Forces. In 2018, he was in Syria, performing so-called special missions.
He has been awarded the medals «For Military Valor» II class (2000), «For Distinction in Military Service» I class (2015), «Participant of the Military Operation in Syria» (2019).

Sheynov is married to Yelena Shabalova, born April 30, 1976, and has a son and a daughter. The family’s permanent residence address is: Saratov, Batavina street, building 12, apartment 266.
