Kharkiv Under Attack: Civilian Casualties Reported

On the morning of July 7, Kharkiv suffered an aggressive attack from Russian occupying forces using strike drones, leading to a fire in a residential building. Among the injured are children.

This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synegubov, and the State Emergency Service on Facebook.

Terekhov stated at 5:29 AM: "Kharkiv has just been attacked by two enemy drones of the 'Shahed' type. The strike was reportedly on the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city."

He noted the possibility of further strikes and soon reported additional explosions in the city.

According to Synegubov, a drone hit was recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district, resulting in a fire on the 9th floor of an apartment building.

Two more strikes were reported in the Slobidskyi district.

By 7 AM, Synegubov noted that the number of injured had risen to 17 (10 adults and 2 children in the Shevchenkivskyi district, and 4 adults and 1 child in the Slobidskyi).

At 7:30 AM, Synegubov updated the count to 23 injured, including 3 children (15 in the Shevchenkivskyi district and 8 in the Slobidskyi).

"Currently, three injured individuals, including one child, have been hospitalized. Their condition is moderate. Medical staff are providing all necessary assistance," said the head of the regional administration.

After 8 AM, the State Emergency Service reported that the number of injured had increased to 27.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, apartments on the 8th floor of a 9-story building were on fire (the area of the fire was 70 square meters). The fire has been localized, and efforts to extinguish it are ongoing.

In the Slobidskyi district, strikes hit the territory of a kindergarten and a commercial facility. A utility building and a vehicle caught fire, covering an area of about 10 square meters. The fires have been extinguished.
