On July 6, in the Sumy region, one civilian lost their life as a result of an attack on the Bytytskyi starostate.

This was reported by the Sumy regional military administration on Telegram.

«The victim's body was discovered during a search of the area following a series of strikes. Preliminary reports indicate another person was injured,» the statement said.

The administration noted that around 4:00 PM, the enemy attacked the village with four drones over a span of 15 minutes. As a result of the shelling, dozens of local residents' homes were damaged, five of which were virtually destroyed. The extent of the destruction is still being assessed. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
