Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov has reported new threats related to the use of the "Chernika" drone to carry out attacks on the city.
This information was shared by Terekhov on Telegram.
"Russian aggressors continue their attempts to harm Kharkiv. In the past week, our city has faced 16 attacks. The enemy primarily used "Shahed" drones, but we are now witnessing the use of a new model named "Chernika," - Terekhov stated.
The mayor explained that this new drone has similar capabilities to the "Molniya," but its design differs. Currently, several cars in a garage cooperative have been damaged due to its strike.
Terekhov added that in the past week, four individuals have suffered from the strikes, including a child.
Explosions were recorded in the Nemishlyansky, Kyivsky, and Industrial districts, damaging both residential buildings and civilian enterprises.
For reference: The "Chernika-2" UAV has increased resistance to electronic warfare systems. The drone flies to its target automatically, but for enhanced accuracy, control can be intercepted by a human operator.
