According to reports from the State Emergency Service of the Odessa region, a fire broke out on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors of a 21-story residential building due to the impacts. People were trapped in their apartments, and it was difficult to reach them because of heavy smoke and high temperatures. Rescuers were simultaneously evacuating individuals and extinguishing the fire.
Firefighters managed to save 5 people, including 1 child.
Preliminary reports indicate that 2 individuals lost their lives.
As of this morning, 4 injured individuals are known.
