A family from Ukraine, who traveled to Israel for the treatment of seven-year-old Anastasia Burik suffering from leukemia, tragically lost their lives in an Iranian missile strike on their residential building.

The incident occurred on Saturday, June 14.

 The Iranian missile strike claimed the lives of seven-year-old Anastasia Burik from Odessa, her mother, and two other children in Bat Yam. In total, four people died, and one is missing. Anastasia was battling cancer and was awaiting a bone marrow transplant, - reported Andriy Yermak.

The family from Odessa arrived in Israel in December 2022 after a fundraising campaign worldwide for Anastasia's treatment.

After achieving partial remission, cancer returned despite chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.

It is known that during their treatment, they were staying in a house in Israel that was struck by an Iranian ballistic missile.

The girl's father, Artem Burik, is serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He remained in Ukraine to continue fundraising for his daughter's treatment.

The deceased grandmother, mother, Anastasia, and two boys were together at the moment of the Iranian missile strike.
