In Kyiv's Solomianskyi district, search operations have been completed following a recent Russian strike on June 17.
"The search and rescue operation lasted over 39 hours. Today at 19:20, the rescuers finished their work. Currently, the debris is being cleared. Sadly, 23 bodies have been recovered from the rubble. Overall, 28 people lost their lives in the capital due to the shelling, with over 140 injured". - stated Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
More than 400 emergency responders and over 200 units of equipment were involved in the operation. Specialized emergency and engineering equipment, drones, and search dogs were utilized.
Rescuers managed to save 2 individuals from the debris, while approximately 50 others were freed from their apartments and stairwells.
Later, the Kyiv City State Administration reported that in a building damaged by the enemy attack on June 17, internal structures collapsed.
Specifically, in a 5-story building, a flight of stairs between the upper floors collapsed. There were no casualties, and rescuers evacuated 5 individuals.
