Today, a new stage of prisoner exchange concluded, resulting in the return of severely wounded defenders from Russian captivity.

This exchange occurred in accordance with agreements made in Istanbul and was carried out by the Coordination Headquarters under the direction of the President of Ukraine.

Among those returned are military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including representatives from the Airborne Troops, Navy, Air Force, Territorial Defense Forces, State Border Service, and National Guard.

Included in the release are defenders of Mariupol, who had been in captivity for over three years. All the released are men, from the rank-and-file and sergeant staff.

Some of those released were previously considered missing in action.

In total, Ukrainians who fought in Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions are returning home.

All released are undergoing necessary medical examinations, receiving assistance for physical and psychological rehabilitation, as well as all due payments for their time in captivity.

This exchange is part of a larger operation involving servicemen under 25 years old, as well as severely wounded and seriously ill individuals.

The Coordination Headquarters continues its work and will soon conduct the next stage of releasing Ukrainian defenders.

We are working to bring everyone back!

Glory to Ukraine!
