Night Attack on Kharkiv: Casualties and Destruction

On the night of June 11, Kharkiv became a target of Russian strikes, resulting in casualties and extensive damage.

On the night of June 11, Russian forces launched an attack on Kharkiv using 17 strike drones known as "Shahed". This massive assault resulted in two deaths and 60 injuries, including 9 children. Residential buildings, trolleybuses, playgrounds, and businesses were damaged.

According to the mayor of Kharkiv, the attack began at 00:31 and lasted until 00:40. The enemy targeted residential areas of the city.

Mayor Terekhov reported direct hits on high-rise buildings, private homes, playgrounds, public transport, and industrial facilities. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out in residential apartments, roofs of buildings were destroyed, cars burned, and windows shattered due to the blast wave. The strike also damaged trolleybuses and municipal infrastructure.

At least two people have been reported dead, with a minimum of 54 injured, including eight children. A 2-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were taken to the hospital. Several individuals were rescued from burning apartments.

"In the Slobidskyi district, enemy drone strikes were recorded at a trolleybus depot. Nine victims were hospitalized, including two children," reported the head of the OVA.

Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv OVA, stated that the number of injured has risen to 57, and medical assistance is being provided.

Update: At 9 AM, Synegubov reported that there are already 60 victims in Kharkiv, including 9 children aged from 2 to 15 years.
