The first heavy remote-controlled demining complex "HART 5100" developed by the Ukrainian engineering firm XTI Engineering has successfully undergone state certification and is preparing for serial production. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
The certificate was issued by the State Scientific Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Arms and Military Equipment.
"The machine is designed to neutralize various types of mines and other explosive devices by detonating and destroying them using hammers from a chain aggregate or a milling cutter," the statement reads.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that this is a fully domestic development, with all manufacturing stages taking place in Ukraine, simplifying logistics and ensuring quick supply, maintenance, and repair.
"HART 5100" is operated remotely from a distance of 600 meters, ensuring the operator's safety. With a repeater installed, the safe distance can be extended to over 1 km. The complex features a system of wide-angle cameras.
The working speed of the machine is 1.5 km/h. In one daylight period, it can clear over 2 hectares of land contaminated with explosives. The demining depth is 300 mm, and interchangeable equipment allows adaptation for various soil types.
Recently, the Ministry of Defense reported that an industrial UAV with a magnetometer is being used for demining in Mykolaiv region, capable of detecting explosive objects both on the surface and underground.
