BBC Studios has employed artificial intelligence to recreate the voice and appearance of the renowned detective novelist Agatha Christie, transforming her into a virtual instructor. The role is played by actress Vivien Keen, whose likeness has been enhanced with AI to resemble Christie.

The course, titled Agatha Christie Writing, is now available on the BBC Maestro platform—an online service offering diverse educational content for a subscription of $10 per month, covering topics from cooking to design and personal productivity.

James Prichard, Christie's great-grandson, remarked that the lessons are constructed using "the words of Agatha herself," though the material has been crafted by a team of experts rather than generated by AI. The course is based on actual quotes, interviews, audio recordings, and personal archives of Christie. BBC collaborated with the writer's heirs to ensure the project’s authenticity.

The program includes 11 video lessons and 12 practical assignments that teach participants how to create plot structures, build intrigue, and develop tension. The course is aimed at aspiring mystery writers looking to learn from one of the genre's most successful authors.
