The fintech service Revolut has temporarily stopped registering new users from Ukraine.

This was reported by DOU.

"Revolut Bank UAB has temporarily suspended new client registrations for residents of Ukraine. This does not affect our existing Ukrainian users — their accounts and services will continue to operate as usual. Ukrainians can join the waiting list while we work on resuming the registration process. Ukraine remains an important market for Revolut, and we are committed to supporting our clients and community," — the company stated.

The likely reason for the halt in registrations is the lack of a banking license from NBU. The company did not comment on this matter.

Revolut also emphasized its support for Ukrainians: as part of the Clear Sky charity campaign, organized together with UNHCR, they have raised over £500,000. The company will additionally donate £200,000 to aid war victims.

Reminder:

The British neobank Revolut had previously informed the Ukrainian regulator of its plans in Ukraine and aims to obtain a Ukrainian banking license, closely cooperating with NBU.

The British fintech company Revolut plans to obtain a banking license in Ukraine.

On February 11, the British fintech giant Revolut officially announced its operations in Ukraine.

Ukrainians can register with Revolut through "Diia", but the company has ties to Russia.
