YouTube has launched an innovative feature that showcases short animations after clicking the like button on selected videos. This feature was rolled out as part of the October platform update aimed at improving user interface and content interaction, reports The Verge.
Currently, there are 20 animations available, which vary depending on the video's theme. For instance, in motorsport clips, the button transforms into a smoky wheel, while in educational content, it appears as a glowing light bulb. There are also options for sports, travel videos, and animal content.
Designer Andreas Storm, who compiled all effects into two short clips on platform X, noted that YouTube has not yet added animations for children's videos.
Additionally, YouTube is also introducing a Super Resolution feature on TVs that will enhance video quality using artificial intelligence.
