The digital accounting platform for military personnel, known as "Impulse", will serve as a foundation for new military services and the development of IT technologies. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the department, soldiers will have the ability to view their documents, arrange electronic leaves, monitor vacation days and service time, as well as manage records of weapons and property.
Currently, the "Impulse" system is being implemented in Airborne Forces units, optimizing the work of personnel services, formations, and commanders. The main functions of the system are:
- For personnel – automation of routine tasks, quick generation of documents without manual data entry.
- For formations – a unified card for military personnel that records all service events and ensures information consistency.
- For commanders – access to analytics on unit staffing and readiness at any moment.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the system operates in a closed secure environment, with access to information restricted by roles and all user actions being recorded.
This system was developed by specialists at the Scaling Technological Solutions Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including IT experts with experience in digital product development. Deployment is provided by the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, announced the launch of the digital accounting system for military personnel "Impulse" at the end of September. In June 2025, it was revealed that the system is being tested in over 20 military units.
