Meta is preparing to roll out a new feature for the web version of WhatsApp that will enable users to easily find and manage all media files sent in chats, according to WABetaInfo. This new media hub will serve as a centralized location for viewing images, videos, GIFs, documents, and links that have been received or sent across all chats.

The feature, which has been spotted in the app's beta version, will include a search function with caption support, the ability to sort files by date and size, and contextual information about documents and links, including the contact name who sent them and the date of sending. Additionally, users will be able to select multiple files at once for deletion, forwarding, or downloading.

Unlike the mobile version of WhatsApp, where media management is less convenient, this new web tool aims to make the process of searching and organizing files significantly easier. This feature is expected to be available in future updates, although the exact launch date remains unknown. This innovation could greatly enhance the user experience, allowing for quick access to important files without the need to sift through each chat individually.
