An overview of the new versatile strike drone

The Ukrainian company DeepStrikeTech has unveiled an innovative multi-purpose strike drone called "Batyar", capable of covering a distance of 800 km, as reported by Military.

Initially developed as a kamikaze drone for deep strikes, its functionality has since been expanded. It can now serve as a decoy, bomber, or frontline strike drone.

"Batyar" features a gasoline engine and weighs 60 kg. In its long-range operation version, it carries a warhead weighing 18 kg, while for frontline tasks, it can carry 30 kg. One of its main advantages is the ability to launch from a catapult or vehicle, allowing use without specialized launch sites. Even when damaged, the drone can maintain its course.

In terms of shape, "Batyar" resembles the Russian-Iranian Shahed, but the similarity is purely visual. The aerodynamics of the device have been entirely developed by Ukrainian engineers based on Western technical documentation. In the future, the manufacturer plans to develop a more powerful version of this drone with an 80 kg warhead.

It is worth noting that a new Ukrainian drone complex named "HUPALO-N" has recently been codified, designed to function as an aerial target for training, combat coordination, and testing various air defense systems. Meanwhile, Russia has modernized its Geran-2 (Shahed-136) strike drone, now equipping it with a 90 kg warhead instead of 50.
