Samsung has announced that its proprietary applications are now accessible on Windows computers, regardless of whether users have a Galaxy laptop. This news comes from Sammobile.
Previously, applications like Samsung Notes, Samsung Gallery, and Samsung Account were exclusive to the company's laptops, but they can now be found and downloaded from the Microsoft Store on any PC running Windows 10 or 11.
However, some applications may require login via a Samsung Account, and the Notes app may notify users that it is optimized for Galaxy Book, which could lead to minor issues on other devices.
Currently, the Microsoft Store features applications such as Gallery, Cloud, Screen Recorder, Galaxy Buds, Bixby, Samsung Studio, Phone, and more. However, the Samsung Find app is still only available on Galaxy laptops.
This long-awaited move by Samsung significantly broadens the Galaxy ecosystem for all Windows users, granting access to proprietary applications to a wider audience.
