On the eve of the I/O 2025 conference, Google released a mobile version of NotebookLM for both Android and iOS. Previously, access to this service was limited to browser use.

NotebookLM is an AI-driven tool designed to assist users in navigating complex information by generating summaries and allowing questions to be asked about the sources. The mobile version now includes support for Audio Overviews — automatically generated podcasts based on uploaded materials that can be listened to offline and in the background.

Users can create new notebooks, view saved ones, and add websites, PDF files, or YouTube videos through the standard "Share" menu. The app supports both light and dark themes based on device settings.
