A football tournament took place in the capital of Ukraine to commemorate the late activist and soldier Pavel Petrychenko, who served in the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.
Sixteen teams participated in the competition, raising 900,000 hryvnias for the UAV company of the "Height Predators" battalion.
Notably, Sergey Prytula, head of the charity foundation where Petrychenko worked before the war, participated in the tournament.
The spectator contribution was set at 250 hryvnias, while participants had to contribute 1,000 hryvnias.
Pavel Petrychenko was born in Kyiv and was an active participant in the Euromaidan. Later, he worked with Sergey Prytula's foundation. Since 2022, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in aerial reconnaissance and was killed on April 15, 2024, while performing a combat mission in Avdiivka.
At the beginning of March, a charity auction featuring Ukrainian sports stars was held to raise funds for the 12th Special Forces Brigade "Azov".
